Our bodywork addresses physical symptoms of tight muscles and overall body tension but also includes acupressure-point massage that follow energy lines in the body which then stimulates the internal organ system to gently release blocked energy in the body.
MYA TOUCH sessions further encompass energetic shifts by harnessing your breath awareness to release held tension and completely relax on a core level, while soothing your nervous system. Your life energy can then flow more freely.
Another feature of our manual therapy is that our approach is more intentional and mindful by incorporating “Metta” which means “loving-kindness” in the Thai tradition and is an ancient form of meditative approach intended to generate wellness and harmony in all beings. Drawing on this principle, compassionate touch is practiced throughout the session. This calming and integrative approach signals the receiver to be present, bringing more breath and vital energy and consequently, a fuller integration of body-mind-spirit.
